SPORT AND PHYSICAL CULTURE IN EUROPEAN LITERATUREOctober 17, 2006 on 3:03 pm | In General | No CommentsThe Institute of Coaching and Sport Education of Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary will host a conference devoted to play, games, physical culture, and sport in European literature on 9, 10, and 11 of March, 2007. We kindly invite scholars and writers of fiction, poetry, drama, journalism, and film to present their critical essays and original creative work concerning European sport literature. All papers should address treatment of sport in texts or textual media (print, film, performance, digital, or other media). The language of the conference will be English.
Those interested in presenting papers or reading creative works should send abstracts of their presentations by December 15, 2006 to:

Infront acquires Italian sports marketing agency Media PartnersOctober 6, 2006 on 9:17 pm | In General | No CommentsZug, Switzerland / Milan, Italy, 6 October 2006 – Infront Sports & Media has reached an agreement to acquire the Milan-based sports marketing agency, Media Partners. The purchase was concluded today and is being reviewed by the national Merger Control Authority.
Media Partners, founded in 1995, is one of Europe’s leading sports marketing companies. The purchase creates important synergies and complements Infront’s substantial involvement with winter sports, its strength in host broadcast production and its advanced expertise in new media rights. It also gives Infront an operation in Italy, one of Europe’s most important sports markets.
